Dallas straight edge band Modern Pain have kicked off a full US tour. The band will be supported on select dates by Dress Code. Modern Pain is on the road in support of their upcoming Bridge Nine debut, out later this summer. Until then, a teaser 7-inch featuring lead-off single Peace Delusions is available now. Peace Delusions (which will appear in re-recorded form on the LP) offers a caustic, noisy preview of what’s to come, maintaining a traditionally stomping and aggressive, forward-moving fast beat while conveying an eerie, paranoia-ridden atmosphere. The B-side, a cover of the legendary Sonic Youth’s “Kill Yr. Idols”, from an early EP of theirs of the same name, acts as a sensible referential point for where the band plan on taking hardcore: into the strange and unconventional.
