[AUDIO] City Keys release debut EP Tip The Scale

Published by Dan SW

Scandinavian heavy hardcore band City Keys has released their debut EP. The Stockholm band features former ANCHOR members Claes, Calle, and Fred. Their debut EP Tip the Scale features guest vocals from Die Young frontman Daniel Austin. Stand out track is by far Self Defense, so gnarly. Listen to the new record below.

From the DIY Conspiracy interview:

We basically started this band to find the feeling of total freedom again. Not getting lost and drained down the path, but doing this for the sake of having fun and appreciating every single thing this band could achieve. Not taking anything for granted and going to new places is what I personally have in mind. Not just playing hardcore punk shows is something I have wanted to do for a while. Reaching out to a “new” audience which does not know us or never heard of us is a big reward of having a band, I think.

We are currently working on new songs, and if that hard work pays off, there will be something very exciting coming up next year for sure. This band has only members that are hungry to getting things done!

Tip the Scale was recorded and mixed by Fred Hunger of Fvck Life Studios. Lead vocals were recorded by Gustav Brunn of GG All In Audio. Mastering is by Brad Boatright of Audiosiege Mastering. The record is available on 7-inch or for digital download through Evil Greed Records. Cassettes and limited merch are being handled by War Records. Catch City Keys on the road in Germany this October with Neighborhood.
