Kennedy’s Matthew Savage and Felix Crawford-Legault have released their first album on Hotfoot Records. The band joined Hotfoot Records in August and have just released their newest full length The Guilt Poor. The record delivers the spastic energetic post-hardcore sound the band are known for, and as seen in the debut music video for Birthrite.
From vocalist Matthew Savage:
This is what we’ve been doing. You can grab your very unique copy through pretty much any digital media outlet but its only 7$ on hotfoots bandcamp. [That’s] cheaper than a Canadian [Big Mac]. Vinyls will be out later.
From the band:
Kennedy formed from the remains of multiple prominent Montreal bands in early 2012. After releasing a self-titled EP in the spring, Kennedy began touring through southern Ontario. They quickly convinced audiences that this fresh collective of musical veterans was something special, albeit wild and confusing. The fall came and with it a lengthy cross-Canadian tour, surviving the flipping of their trailer and crashing into military firing ranges the band remained focused and determined. Their music is dense, their skin is thick and driven to keep moving forward.
The Guilty Poor is available now to download or stream through the Hotfoot Records Bandcamp page. Look for the band on tour in Canada in support of the record, and possibly in Europe next year now that Westjet is flying cheap to European destinations.
