Los Angeles vegan straight edge folk duo Moon Bandits have just released a split 7-inch with IGAF. It’s the second 2013 release for Tommy Danger (vocals, banjo) and Astrid Gleason (violin) following the release of the Action Changes Thinking 12-inch in March.

We spoke to singer / banjo player Tommy about the band:

Both Astrid and myself are vegan and sxe… [and] are also both collective members of a DIY space in La Puente California. We play music mostly to spread a positive message of unity and political activism.

We believe that its very important to stay active within our community and we also believe that sobriety is crucial in us being able to do so. So that’s us briefly.

The limited edition 7-inch was recorded by Paul Roessler at Kitten Robot Studios in Los Angeles, and is available now through the Moon Bandits Bandcamp page.
