Today we are proud to feature the latest release from Portland Straight Edge band Cutting Through. Replace the Means is off their upcoming New Age Records release Empathy. The band features current and former members of legendary hardcore and Straight Edge bands like Go it Alone, Get the Most, Fired Up, Blue Monday, Safe and Sound & Unrestrained. Listen to the new single, Replace the Means, below.

From the band:

Hailing from the small town of Portland, Oregon, Cutting Through is a band several years in the making. Singer Driggs and guitarist Kyle blueprinted the vision for the band.

The concept of the band was inspired by an era of hardcore that was anthemic and had emphasis on message. The band values the opportunity to speak out on injustice and the shortcomings of our current social climate. Cutting Through seeks to foster a connection between listener and group, with the intention of spreading a message of optimism and the idea that we have the ability to improve ourselves and our surroundings.

Empathy is set for release this May through New Age Records. Catch the band on their very first European tour starting this April 12th.
