Straight Edge metal band Invictus have released a new record. 'Despair' is the third release from the band following a split with xRisalex in May of 2023. Listen to the new record below.

From the band:

This fall, INVICTUS emerges from the shadows with their third release and first full-length, a fusion of searing Melodic Black and Death.

The last remaining edgemetal act from Belgium brings forth ‘Despair’. This nine-song blistering attack delves into this rotting world. Melodic yet raw, INVICTUS presents a manifesto of humanity’s uncertain path - an unpleasant exploration of the brutal hypocrisy, social indifference and inhumanity of mankind. Resulting in a grim world filled with emptiness, desolation and even suicide.

With entwining bursts of spitting blackness and haunting melodies, this latest offering from INVICTUS draws as much inspiration from a certain melodic death metal scene in Gothenburg as it does from the northern chilling winds of darkened thrones and dissected storms.

'Despair' was recorded by Thomas Vangelooven. Cover artwork by Ignius Aurelius. Live photography by Robin Todde. Layout by Timmy Steyls. Distribution is being handled by a number of different record labels, including Genet Records (Belgium), Bound By Modern Age Records (Germany), In My Heart Empire Records (Spain), and x24x Edgewear (Belgium)
