Cleveland Straight Edge band Patron of Beggars have made their debut with a new EP entitled 'the Cairo Confluence'. The band features Mike Burger of Dismissed and Live It Down alongside Nick Smith of Stray Dogs, The Mongoloids, and Know the Score. Listen to the heavy new record below.

From the band:

The world has gone soft. A planet plagued with chemical dependency and addiction. A world of people remaining neutral until social media tells them how they're supposed to feel about any given topic.

So we bring you The Cairo Confluence, a 5 song EP that blends the low and slow riffage connected to New Orleans with the dark, driving rage of classic Cleveland Hardcore. The title represents the point at which the Ohio River meets the Mississippi river in Cairo, Illinois... Where Ohio's waterways meet the waters that run to NOLA.

There is intricate representation in every aspect of this band. From the band name, itself, to each individual song... Everything means something.

Neanderthal rage overlapping with strategic messaging. Three straightedge dudes smashing through a brick wall into a music genre that traditionally belongs to potheads and booze hounds... Not anymore.

PATRON OF BEGGARS are here... And this shit is ours now

'the Cairo Confluence' was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jim Krumhansl at Audio Alchemy Studio.
