Today we are featuring the latest release from Italian Straight Edge band Two Words. The band was a Italian Straight Edge supergroup formed during the early days of the global coronavirus pandemic, before ultimately disbanding in April of 2024. Crucial Response Records has made available the band's final release 'Rejoining the Forces'. Listen to the record below.

During the lockdown period, Freddy, Steve, and Paolo engaged in extensive discussions about hardcore, straight edge, and bands from the 80s/90s, including the bands they were part of. One day, Paolo, while conversing with Freddy, shared his dream of playing alongside him and other legends from the Italian hardcore scene, aiming for a pure, wholesome old-school style reminiscent of the youthful energy of the youth crew era.
Freddy embraced the idea, and they promptly extended the invitation to Steve and Gonzo. Thus, Two Words came into existence, despite the geographical distance separating them, with each member residing in different and distant cities. Eddy later joined the band as the bassist and seamlessly integrated himself, significantly contributing to the group.
The band's sound mirrored the swift style of Turning Point, Youth of Today, and Chain of Strength, infused with a melodic OC touch. They recorded their tracks for enjoyment, and Dario Adamic from Goodwill Records expressed interest in releasing the band's debut 7", which received excellent feedback.
Undeterred, the group continued crafting songs and riffs, with Paolo taking charge of composing vocal lines and melodies. Their output of four songs attracted the attention of Crucial Response Records. This connection sparked an immediate synergy and understanding with Peter, leading to the creation of the LP "Reunion of Forces."
Thus emerged Two Words, rising from the legacies of Think Two, Aging, Product, By All Means, Onfall, and Zero Eight One – a straight edge band from Italy, born anew from the ashes of its predecessors.
