Tattoo artist Greg x Edge is raising funds to relocate after fleeing from Russia to Germany in 2022. Following the launch of a "special military operation" in Ukraine in February 2022, Greg and his wife Roza began participating in peaceful protests. However, after being easily identified, and seeing the police begin intimidating members of his family, they left Moscow for Germany. Since then, Greg and his family have been trying to survive in Germany, where they are not officially permitted to work.

While it is possible for them to request political asylum, unfortunately Germany has a poor record for asylum seekers:

We didn’t claim political asylum, because the chance that they will give us one is 1 out of 100000. ... I just asked for a work permit. And also asylum seekers gonna get detained to a camp for 1-5-7 years. God knows how many years it can take. And then after we gonna get denied they will deport us anyway.

With no other real choice, Greg is raising money to cover the cost of an immigration lawyer, and to assist in relocating to a different country, where they have a better chance of securing a work permit.

If you are able to support Greg and his family, a GoFundMe has been set up, and Roza has t-shirts available through her Redbubble. Greg is also a prolific artist, and prints are will available through Joe Ellis of Too Pure To Die and Method Ink Printing.
