Johnny Crowder’s Dark Sermon are set to hit the road for a month this July. The band will be playing songs from 2015’s The Oracle across the East Coast, Midwest, and West Coast. Support on the dates will be provided by Kitchener, ON band Exalt. Full dates below.
From Crowder:
I’m a very serious person onstage, but sometimes I can’t help but break character for a split second and show my human side. I lock eyes with someone and grab their skull, and for a moment, I am them. Those kids are just as much a part of the experience as I am. The sound guy, the promoter, the security, the front row, the pit, the bartender… Everyone in the room while we play is involved. Like it or not, you are a witness to the Dark Sermon, just as we are. Here’s to playing a million shows and not allowing yourself to adopt that jaded, exclusionary mindset that serves only to divide. We are all one living, breathing beast, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. – J
