Montreal straight edge band Excess have released their debut EP. The band plays authentic 90’s straight edge metalcore and features members of Harriers, Pluum, Nuke, and Vanishing Point. Listen to the debut EP, Profit on Murder, below.
We spoke to guitar player John Donnelly about the new band:
Excess is a Montreal straightedge band. We formed in 2015. We just released a 7 track demo on bandcamp.
Musically we are influenced my hardcore and metal that we grew up listening to. If it’s out of date we really don’t care. Lyrically we focus on the effects that using drugs cause globally.
We plan on spreading our message to anyone who is willing to listen.
