Today we are proud to feature the latest release from Connor Hehir‘s Fade. The EP, entitled Identity, brings a fresh take to the early-90’s post-hardcore sound originally heard in bands like Quicksand. Identity also marks the last recorded release of original bassist and Connor’s younger brother Morgan Hehir, who was killed in an incident in early November.
From the band:
For anyone that may not know, our original bass player Morgan was stabbed to death last Saturday whilst on a night out with friends.
Morgan had played bass on all Fade recordings including the One With Serenity & Identity EP’s before deciding to leave the band. He was an incredibly talented musician and hilarious person to be around and a one of a kind brother that all that knew him will sorely miss.
Identity is available now to download or stream through the Fade Bandcamp page. The record is also available on vinyl through the Control Records webstore. Check out Droid x Rage fanzine for a recent interview with Hehir and drummer Tom.
