Milwaukee straight edge band Forced Impact have released their latest tape. Conflict Theory features fast-paced youth crew with a ton of energy, and was released in July. Listen to the new record below.

We spoke to frontman Drew Czarnik about the band and record:

Growing up in a Milwaukee, where the biggest pastime revolves around drinking, makes being substance free completely unheard of by many people outside of the hardcore community. We all single-handedly have witnessed how mind-altering substances can tear anyone or anything [apart], which is why we came together and started writing music about things we felt completely passionate about.

We recently just put out our debut tape, “Conflict Theory” that touches on living in a society that is being completely destroyed by things such as racial profiling in your home town, the mistreatment and abuse of animals, growing up queer in a community dominated by bigotry, and of course, being straight edge and everything that comes along with it.

Conflict Theory was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Derick Goodson. Cover photography is by Elaine Dalton. Download or stream the record now through the Forced Impact Bandcamp page.
