Montreal hellions Hopeless Youth have returned to kick some ass following the recent departure of their longtime bass player. Their newest video, Rain of Arrows, is the second release off the 2014 Candlelight Records full length Disgust. Watch the video below.
We spoke to guitarist John Donnelly about the song and video:
Rain of Arrows is our second single off of disgust. We had a blast working on this video. We did it in 2 days. 1 day of us playing live and then 1 for the “acting scenes”. This time we worked with Johnny Kim, he’s a friend of ours and he’s really good at what he does. We did it in a warehouse and our singer Julien’s apartment.
We chose Rain of Arrows it’s nasty and raw both on the album and live. It’s a little different from our last single “ghost” but I think between these 2 songs you can get a good idea of what the album is about.
The Rain of Arrows video was directed by JFK. Disgust is out now through Candlelight Records.
