New straight edge band Year of the Knife have only been around since mid-2015, but have now released their second EP. Their latest, entitled Overgrowth, delivers the Newark, Delaware band’s signature modern metalcore with superb production. The band took advantage of the calendar this spring, choosing to release the record on Friday the 13th. Listen to the new record below.

Overgrowth was recorded by Kevin Bernsten of Developing Nations. Mastering is by Brad Boatright of Audiosiege. Artwork is by MAD WXRLD. A 12-inch vinyl pressing will be released this fall via Harvcore Records. In the meantime, the record is available to download for $999 or stream through the Year of the Knife Bandcamp page.
