Andy Hurley‘s Fall Out Boy have announced their return to activity following a four-year hiatus. The band released a statement as well as a new website, a music video, and a list of tour dates. A new album, Save Rock and Roll is set for release in early May; the first video is entitled My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up).

From the band:

when we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. . this isn’t a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.

the future of fall out boy starts now.

save rock and roll…

Hurley has not been sitting on his laurels during the hiatus; he went on to form supergroup The Damned Things, and you may have seen him on tour playing drums for Earth Crisis or Focused x Minds.

Fall Out Boy will begin playing dates tonight before kicking off a series of dates in the US and Canada in May.
