Jona Weinhofen‘s I Killed Prom Queen will join Winston McCall’s Parkway Drive, Andy Williams’ Every Time I Die, Jacob Bannon’s Converge and Jonathan Vigil’s The Ghost Inside on legendary California label Epitaph Records. I Killed The Prom Queen became active again following Weinhofen’s departure from Bring Me The Horizon.
From Weinhofen:
We are absolutely ecstatic to join the Epitaph Records family. Having worked with the label previously with Bring Me The Horizon, I knew exactly what Epitaph was capable of and that it would be the perfect home for I Killed The Prom Queen. Epitaph is already the home to so many of our heroes such as Converge, Refused, Pennywise and Every Time I Die, and has helped launch our good friends Parkway Drive, The Ghost Inside, Day Of Contempt, Letlive. and more. To say that we are a part of this family is truly an honour.
The as-yet-untitled new I Killed The Prom Queen record is already recorded, and will be released by Epitaph Records in 2014. In the meantime, Epitaph has released a promotional video discussing IKTPQ’s influence on the Australian music scene, and welcoming the band to the label.
